David Vincent-Crowson, Lead Self-Defense Instructor
Training in martial arts from the time he was six, David has over twenty years of incredibly diversified martial arts training that brings a unique perspective to his students. Beginning his martial arts training with Tae Kwon Do (second degree black belt) then moving on to Goju-ryu Karate (first degree black belt) and Japanese Jiu Jitsu (first degree black belt), he has in recent years focused his training strictly on self-defense systems. For the last several years, David has trained in Kali (10 years), Krav Maga (7 years), Ballistic 3 (1 year), Jeet Kune Do (4 years), and Defence Lab (3 years). He has been teaching Krav Maga for 6 years.
David has attended training with Rory Miller, Alan Predolin, Eyal Yanilov, Edwin Rodriguez, Andy Norman, and Grek Fenollosa.
Knowing the importance of general fitness when it comes to self-defense scenarios, David has also dedicated a lot of his time to strength training and coaching. He has studied bodyweight and gymnastics style training as well as kettlebell. He has had the privilege of being coached and mentored in kettlebell by Felicia Guel (SFG II, SFB) and has attended training and certification with Karen Smith (Master SFG and Chief SFB) as well as Betsy Collie (Senior SFG), Dustin Rippetoe (SFG Team Leader) and James Sjostrom (SFG Team Leader). David is an SFG I certified kettlebell instructor.

Katherine Vincent-Crowson, Lead Fitness Instructor

While studying at the University of Oklahoma, Katherine worked as a Rape Awareness Intern at the Women’s Outreach Center. Since that time, she has held a passion for teaching and helping women learn to protect themselves. For the past ten years, she has done in-depth, self-guided study of criminology and violence to obtain knowledge she shares regularly with students and seminar attendees.
In 2014, she began self-defense training in Krav Maga and has been fortunate enough to attend training with Rory Miller, Alan Predolin, Eyal Yanilov, Jon Bullock, Andy Norman, and Grek Fenollosa.
From gymnastics and informal street hockey games when she was elementary school age to cheerleading in high school to endurance running and strength training as an adult, Katherine has always enjoyed an active lifestyle. She believes that mobility, flexibility, and proprioperception are important contributing factors when it comes to one’s overall happiness. To date, Katherine has completed one 50-mile ultramarathon, two marathons, one 25K, seven half marathons, and more than forty-five 10Ks and 5Ks.
She’s also had the privilege of being coached and mentored in kettlebell by Felicia Guel (SFG II, SFB) and has attended training and certification with Karen Smith (Master SFG and Chief SFB) as well as Scott MacIntosh (SFG Team Leader), Dustin Rippetoe (SFG Team Leader)and James Sjostrom (SFG Team Leader).
